Welcome to Vulpine Horizons
A short note on what this imprint is, what it isn't, and the eight books it exists to bring into the world.
This site is the publishing imprint behind a small set of related books — a place for the work to live, with room for the courses, templates, and conversations that grow out of them.
There are two threads.
The first runs through Late to the Table and Back at the Table — a memoir of craft and a working argument that the people who finish late often finish best. They were written first because the rest of what is on this site was learned the long way, and that story had to be told before the methodology could be.
The second is the four-volume Subtract to Ship series — Validate, Build, Grow, Scale — a working operator’s manual for shipping under constraint. Build MDR, a domain-specific extension of the same method written with Tibor Zechmeister, sits alongside it.
Eight books. One thread. The work that ships is almost never the first thing you tried. The discipline of getting from the first attempt to the version worth keeping is what these books are about.
